The inner cup is made of a variety of materials, such as base paper plus PE lamination, base paper plus PLA lamination, base paper plus coated paper, etc. Packaging material combinations serve specific purposes, such as optimizing thermal insulation, ensuring sustainability (e.g. PLA) or enhancing the overall durability of the cup.

Innovative manufacturing process:

The manufacturing process of hollow paper cups includes heating and insulating PE through high temperature. This technology enables seamless integration of the inner and outer cups, providing a reinforced and leak-proof seal.

Special thermal insulation outer sticker:

Unlike the inner cup, the outer patch serves a dual purpose. Not only does it contribute to the structural integrity of the cup, but it also acts as an insulator. Using cup bottom and nest bottom technology, the distance between the inner cup and the outer patch is maintained at more than 2mm, which significantly improves the preset effect in the user experience.

In addition to its superior insulation performance, the hollow paper cup’s innovative design demonstrates a 23% improvement in heat insulation compared to ordinary single-layer cups. When 80-degree coffee is added to a single-layer paper cup, the outer wall temperature reaches 65 degrees, whereas, with the hollow paper cup, the outer wall temperature is notably lower at 50 degrees. This enhanced heat insulation contributes to a more enjoyable drinking experience, especially for hot beverages, and underscores the commitment to quality by the HARA team.

To ensure the consistency and excellence of their product, the HARA team has meticulously compiled 43 process flows, implementing effective control methods, inspection frequencies, and verification result output records for every step of production. A comprehensive quality control system has been established, incorporating three inspection methods – self-inspection, mutual inspection, and special inspection – fostering a robust framework for maintaining product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

The commitment to quality extends to the raw materials used, all of which are sourced as food-grade and comply with the stringent food safety regulations of both China and the EU. The factory adheres to BRC standards in supplier management, implementing measures that include rigorous monitoring and assessment. The Quality Department further ensures quality by supervising and verifying through third-party external inspections of both suppliers and products during the factory inspection process.
